Hart is an elegant, flexible flatweave jute rug, which looks as good alone as it does layered underneath another rug (or two).
- 100% natural, unbleached jute

- Fibers are hand-sorted by color for a subtle, brindled look

The Design:
Hart is unbleached to preserve its natural variation of color, and finely-woven to create a delicate ombre. Bonus: its fine weave also collects less dust.
The Material:
- Jute is a natural fiber with a golden sheen, known for its tensile strength and versatility
- An eco-conscious crop, jute has minimal water needs, and consumes large enough quantities of carbon dioxide that its carbon-neutral
- Handspun weft expresses the fiber’s natural irregularities and textures
- Unbleached jute has a desirable variation of hue and texture, which weve played up with a delicate tonal gradation
The Maker:
Our partner is the third weaving generation of his family, and heads a small weaving house known for their unparalleled skill. A perfectionist with color, he and his team take great pride in their work, which is evident in their final product.
A Note on Curling
Because Hart is so finely woven, moisture in the air can occasionally make its edges curl up. A simple solve for this is to bend back that corner of the rug so you can curl the edge in the opposite direction, rolling it into a little burrito back and forth until it lies flat.
